My name is Victor Lima Almeida. I’m a software engineer that works with Glass, Ceramics, Digital Media, Oil Paintings, and Martial Arts. That’s the quick summary of it, anyways.
I started training Taekwondo when I was 8 years old and earned my 1st Dan in Taekwondo on March 25th, 2000. Eventually I ended up making martial arts a lifestyle. In November 2018 I earned my 4th Dan Taekwondo Black Belt and the title Master Victor. Here are my current Martial Arts Classifications:
- 4th Dan Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo
- 1st Dan Kukkiwon Taekwondo
- Blue Belt 3 Stripes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
- Red Belt Haedongo Kumdo
- Muay Thai (No Belt System)
Programming was a little different. One day the question popped up: “How is this website showing me this?”. The curiosity swept as I felt commanded to get a book and learn how this was done. It felt like wizardry. I learned from a book, and by the time I was in high school I was taking programming classes to further my learning. I’ve been programming since 2000.
Glass is one of my all time loves. One of my friends was enrolled in the glass program and told me to come watch a demonstration by Rick Schneider, the teacher at that time. He was making a dog head out of glass. I walked in probably halfway through. This guy had a clear head almost complete looking made of glass at the end of a metal pipe. It was bigger than his own head! I fell in love with glass once I started to actually work with it.
I started blowing glass in 2007 and graduated with a degree in 2011. There’s nothing like playing with lava glass. I had completed Digital Media, Ceramics, and Glass requirements for concentration, but you can only pick one to put on your degree. Glass it is!
I am now offering Private Lessons for Glassblowing, Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Haedong Kumdo, and Muay Thai. I make custom websites for any businesses . Anything from a display website to an e-commerce solution and even learning modules. If you’d like to commission a piece of artwork in any of the mediums I work in, please contact me here:
